What would I buy with my 10k in cash in July 2023?

Inspiration comes from a lot of places. Today it comes from my favorite place, Reddit. What should I buy with my 10k cash? That’s the question. Reddit has it’s usual flair with responses.

Broad_Intereview_6087, had the best advice boiled down to:

“Time In Market > Timing The Market”

UAcceptable Credit611 did ask proper questions,

“What’s your risk appetite?”

Honestly most people were pretty pissed. And apparently the r/StockMarket ain’t what it used to be, lol 🤣. User nxx-ch wrote,

 “Posts like this should be banned. This sub has gone to sh*t”

Which I have to admit made me laugh pretty hard. But here is how I think about it at Bootleg Macro.

• First, right now, I am fully invested because it’s a bull market.

• Second, if I got $10,000 and wanted to deploy it. I would first review my current positions to see if I could add capital.

  • Asking the question, Have any of the positions earned more money?

  • If they have, I would buy more.

Now if I hit my position limits of a 3% or 4% risk in every position and still have $10,000 this is what I would do.

1. Take the setups the market has to offer.

2. Find new stocks breaking out.

3. Find new stocks hitting 52 week highs.

4. Buy breakouts.
